Can eDocYouSign read my documents?
No. Documents are encrypted in your browser before upload, and the key is locked with an access code that never reaches our servers. We store only encrypted data and the audit trail.
Can I change or cancel access after sending?
Yes. From the Access codes page you can change a document's access code, pause one signer or everyone, replace a signing link, or set an end date. Each change works immediately and is recorded in the audit trail.
How do I find an access code I sent last month?
Turn on your code vault. Every code you create is saved there, encrypted with a passphrase only you know, so you can look it up any time. Without the vault, codes are shown once and we can't show them again.
What are ePowerForms and eWebForms?
An ePowerForm is a reusable link or QR code that anyone can open to fill in and sign their own copy, like a waiver or intake form. eWebForms show the questions one at a time on a phone, then the signer reviews and signs. Each response is a separate encrypted envelope.
Does agreement management read my documents?
No. The details you track (type, counterparty, value, dates and stage) power the dashboard and renewal alerts. The documents stay end-to-end encrypted. Finding key terms runs in your browser after you unlock the document, and nothing is sent to an AI service.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Choose a plan on the Billing page and pay on Stripe's secure checkout by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. Team and Business adjust automatically as people join or leave. You can switch plans, download invoices or cancel at the end of your billing period any time.
How can someone check that a signed document is genuine?
Every signed PDF carries a Document ID and, unless the sender turns it off, a standard QR code. Scanning it, or entering the ID at eDocYouSign Verify, shows whether the document was completed, when, and how signers were identified. Anyone can check their copy of the file against its SHA-256 fingerprint, right in their browser. The page never shows the document's content.
How much storage do I get?
Free includes 2 GB, Solo 10 GB, Team 20 GB per user and Business 50 GB per user, shared across your workspace. A typical signed contract is under 2 MB, so 20 GB holds about 10,000 of them. The Storage page shows what you've used, and owners can add packs from 100 GB for $5 a month up to 5 TB, changing or removing them any time.
Can I talk to someone by voice?
Yes. Start a chat, and if talking would help, your agent turns on a voice call for that chat. A call button appears; your browser asks once for your microphone. The call runs directly between your browser and the agent's, encrypted, and is never recorded. You can mute or hang up any time.
How do I contact sales or your security team?
Use the Contact us page and choose Sales or Security and compliance, or open the chat button on this page. We reply by email, usually within one business day; security reports are handled as high priority.
Why do you email me a code before my message is sent?
It proves the address is really yours and keeps spam out, so our team spends its time on real questions. Instead of a tracking CAPTCHA, your browser also solves a quick calculation in the background. Nothing you write reaches us until you enter the code.
What are support plans?
Every workspace gets Standard support: email and live chat during support hours, with a reply within one business day. Priority ($59 a month per workspace) answers within 4 business hours and puts your chats first. Premium 24×7 ($199) answers within an hour, day or night. Owners choose on the Billing page; upgrades apply at once and you can return to Standard at the end of any month.
When is live chat staffed?
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern. Outside those hours the chat window tells you when we're back and takes your message, and we reply by email. Premium 24×7 customers reach our round-the-clock agents any time.
Can I get Enterprise or a custom price?
Yes. On the Billing page choose Request Enterprise, a custom price or a different number of users, tell us what you need, and a supervisor replies within one business day. Once approved, your plan switches over (or you complete payment) at the agreed price.
How do I build a WebForm?
Open WebForms in your workspace and choose New WebForm. Upload your document, place the fields, and save it as a PowerForm. Then write the question for each field in your own words, add help text and a welcome message, and share the link or QR code. People answer on their phone, review, and sign.
My microphone doesn't work on a support call.
Choose Check mic in the call bar (or Check microphone on the Contact support page). It tests your microphone, speakers and network and, if your browser is blocking the microphone, shows the exact steps for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, iPhone or Android, plus the Windows or Mac privacy setting.
How do I get help?
Use the chat bubble on any page to talk to our support team (and switch to a voice call if needed), or open a support request and follow it by email. The in-app Help center answers most questions straight away.
I sent a document to the wrong email. What now?
Open the envelope and choose Correct and resend. A copy opens with the same document, recipients and fields; fix what's wrong and send it. The original is voided, its signing links stop working, and its signers are told a corrected version is coming.
Can I connect eDocYouSign to Salesforce, HubSpot or Microsoft 365?
Yes, on the Business and Enterprise plans. Use the REST API and webhooks directly, import our OpenAPI file into Power Automate, or connect through Zapier, Make or n8n. The developer guide has step-by-step recipes. Documents stay end-to-end encrypted through the API.
Can your support team see my account?
Only when they need to help you, and you'll know about it. Support access needs a written reason, ends after one hour, emails your workspace owners and is logged in your audit log. Even then, support can't open your documents, because they're encrypted with codes we never receive.
Can I sign up with Gmail or Apple ID?
Yes. Choose Sign up with Google or Sign up with Apple. Gmail, Google Workspace, Apple ID and iCloud accounts all work. You'll still confirm each sign-in with an authenticator app, so a stolen Google or Apple account isn't enough to get in.
What if a signer loses the access code?
If your workspace has two-person recovery turned on, the two holders of Recovery Key A and Key B can recover the document together and issue a new code. Without recovery, nobody can open it.
Are the signatures legally binding?
Signatures are designed to meet the US ESIGN Act and UETA. Each envelope has a certificate of completion and a full audit trail. Some documents, such as wills, have special rules; ask your lawyer.
Do signers need an account?
No. Signers open the emailed link, enter the access code you gave them, and sign on any device. Senders need an account with two-step sign-in.
How does the free trial work?
Every new workspace gets every Team feature for 14 days, with no card. Invite your team, send as many envelopes as you like and try ePowerForms and eWebForms. When the trial ends you move to the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan, and nothing you made is lost. One trial per company.
I'm in the middle of a DocuSign contract. Can I switch now?
Yes. Ask for the switch offer on your Billing page with your current invoice or renewal date. Once approved, your first 1 to 3 months on a yearly plan are free, so you don't pay twice. We'll also set up 10 of your templates for you.
What is the founding-customer offer?
Our first 300 paying customers get 20% off their first year on any yearly plan, until March 31, 2027. It's applied automatically at checkout. After the first year you pay the normal yearly price, which stays locked as long as you're subscribed.
Do you have discounts for nonprofits, schools or larger teams?
Nonprofits and schools get 25% off any paid plan: ask on your Billing page with your registration number or school website. Team and Business are 10% off for each user from the 11th, automatically. For 25 or more users, Enterprise starts at $27.90 per user a month, billed yearly.
How do referrals work?
Copy your referral link from the Billing page. When a company you referred makes its first payment, you each get one month free, up to $100, taken off your next payments automatically.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Within 30 days of your first yearly payment, ask for a refund on your Billing page. We cancel the plan and refund the whole amount.
Is "unlimited envelopes" really unlimited?
Yes, on Solo, Team and Business (Free includes 5 a month). A safety limit of 200 envelopes per sender per day stops a stolen account from mass-mailing; administrators can raise it.
What happens to my price at renewal?
It stays at the price you signed up for. Any list price change applies to new customers, with 90 days' notice to existing ones.
